The Fruitport District Library is happy to announce the issuing of 1000th library card on August 21, 2017.  This day will never be eclipsed at the Fruitport District Library. Ruth Vanderstelt was the lucky recipient of the 1000th card and a stash of goodies from FDL.  The FDL Director Bethany Nettleton was able to issue the card on the day of the Great American Eclipse in the midst of approximately 300 patrons coming in and out of the library for solar eclipse glasses and for our eclipse party.

One more milestone achieved! 

In other news, We have purchased over 8500 new books and linked over 9000 books toward the 13598 books needed to remain part of the Lakeland Library Cooperative.  If you have 2015 or newer books , audio books or dvds we still need them.  All other donations we are set for now. 

We have 13598 residents in Fruitport.  We have library cards, come on in and check us out!
